Three Types Of Plant Art Used In Buildings

By Mattie Knight

Paintings that involve nature in any way are lovely to look at and help to bring this aspect of life into the home. There are different types of plant art which can be paintings and drawings that involve nature scenes, or they can be made of succulents which might be real or fake. It all depends on what a person wants and this article will look at each category.

Paintings and drawings that involve nature scenes are very common in homes and businesses where there is a need to bring some serenity to others. This is what most people are used to and they might buy or produce these pieces for their enjoyment. There are quite a few artists who do this as a profession in that their focus is only on foliage and nothing else.

Some artists might decide to go out to mountain areas or fields that they admire and paint the vegetation that they see. There are many artists who are dedicated to working only with this form of life in nature. They might use different techniques like color and lighting to create visual effects that are breathtaking even though the subject might be a simple shrub.

Wall gardens can be made with real shrubs, grasses, ferns and other herbs instead of a paint even though this piece can be considered a painting in its own right. If someone wants to bring the outdoors inside their home, this is one way of doing it instead growing various herbs and shrubs in pots. However, one cannot just use these materials as is.

There are some herbs and grasses that can last for a long while without withering away, but this is not true for most plants. Many are quite fragile and will change color if they are not in their natural environment. So it is important for the artist to do what is necessary to preserve the vegetation so that the customer can enjoy their piece for years to come.

When one decides to use fake greenery, there is no need to worry about how to preserve them. This is great for both professional artists and those who want to create a piece themselves but do not have a green thumb. There are many different types of vegetation that creators get inspiration from to make ones that are artificial.

The artificial shrubs and succulents can be arranged to look just like the real ones. This can still create the feeling that one is bringing nature in their living space. One can also consider getting artificial items that not only look like the real thing but feel like it as well. That way, no one will be able to tell the difference unless they pay attention.

These are the main types of artwork that feature vegetation as the subject. Real vegetation used artistically is becoming very popular even in the workplace because of the well-being that is created among workers. This can also be brought into the home even though one might live in the heart of a town or city.
