Why Gucci Rightfully Matters To The World

By Gary Reed

Today, fashion spans a much deeper meaning than just glamour or the need to keep up with trends. It has become a part of everyday life and a reflection of art and beauty, paired with all the necessary comfort a woman especially needs. When culture change, this industry follows suit.

It is also art. You will do well, to remember that. The pieces you see on people, especially celebrities did not just come from nothing. They are from the efforts of those who have a given talent in producing them, so much like Gucci is. This industry is ever changing, but the brand name stays as it is.

You have to be aware of this high end brand so that you can understand why the price comes of as insane to others. Most of the time, their stores expect mostly the elite class to come in. That is understandable but they also show their pieces to any customer, no matter how much someone can appear to be as just another window shopper.

Working as an attendant at a well known hotel in London, the work of Guccio had inspired him to bring a touch of English in his works. His first big clients were aristocrats whose past time was horseback riding. Clamoring for equestrian gear, he created pieces made with horse bit details and that telling feature remains on bags to this day.

Some people often look at it as extravagant spending, but a purchase can last for years. Its timeless designs more than makes up for its high flying prices. The stores are famous around the world and when you think of Italy, most likely, the brand name will also pop up in your mind.

Although many people know about the humble history of the company, few are familiar with the man responsible for making everything possible. Before making an empire out of his leather goods, he worked t a famous hotel in London. The job there would later become his inspiration to create bags that are sold massively.

He checked out luggage bags of guests and decided he wanted just the kind of business for himself. After which, he saved money and just in time for turning forty, an unlikely age for working as an attendant, he went back to his country and began his business soon after.

When there was a shortage of leather, and the material is already impossible to get, he set out to get canvass which remains with the brand to this day. He was the first one to get the idea, and it proved to be a brilliant move yet again. When tough times came, and Italy fell into dictatorship, he experimented some more unlikely materials such as bamboo and linen.

It has earned its reputation quite well, because of the creativity of its founder. Living up to its name, the brand has become one of the best, if not the most respected fashion house in the world. They have moved on to a collaboration with other well known designers and rightfully so. When you hear the name, there is really no further questions asked.
