Caricaturists will not abide with the usual standard in making faces. Deviations is normal in creating caricatures. Never, ever forget to make the eyes look authentic. There are a lot of caricaturists who have beautifully and realistically crafted something but the soul of the eyes seems like a void. Dont try to exaggerate the eyes unless really necessary. And if you have the confidence and ability to manipulate the expression, then you are free to do so but be careful.
