Robin went to the gathering from July 17-20, 2013. Guests this year came from as far away as Germany, Brazil, Australia, India, Switzerland, Norway, France, and Israel along with from across the United States.
Top professionals in the business such as Comedy Central star Jeff Dunham, Las Vegas entertainer Terry Fator, Tony Honor winner and SOAP star Jay Johnson, Sammy King, Taylor Mason and classic TV star Jimmy Nelson were included lecturers or performers.
The Vent Sanctuary ConVENTion's purpose is to help ventriloquists at all levels establish their craft as performers through workshops, efficiencies, and casual friendship with each other.
Lecture topics included showmanship, comedy writing, creature manipulation, producing meaningful characters, and banquet performing. Nightly shows highlighted top experts in the business, consisting of transporting all conventioneers to the Taft Theater in downtown Cincinnati to see Terry Fator's brand-new road show.
