Features Found In Memoirs About Leaving Home

By Jason Fox

When a child is born, the parents are happiest and would do anything to protect and provide for it. Soon the baby begins to crawl and utter words and before long, it is about to complete high school. Time runs so fast and the toddler now wants to be free. Freedom is something that many young people crave for in their adolescent day. This is a memoirs about leaving home, the things that children miss after they have left.

It is common for most young people to yearn for the day they would leave their home and have absolute freedom from their parents. The reason why many of them decide to get out from the nest could emanate from injurious family or imposing a lot of restriction on them. You will notice that adolescents will always want to break the rules set for them.

Years ago, majority of those who left their homes was to get the freedom to do what they wish without constant supervision from their parents. After they have gone, the experience that each one of them goes through is different. There are those that have negative outcomes while others find fulfillment and growth. This usually depends on how one was before leaving their parents house.

The urge to leave home can begin from home; it could be because of peer pressure or other issues in the family. However, it is important to note that not all those who decide to get out of their parents supervision do so because of negative events. There are those that become of age and would want to give their parents some space and relieve them the burden. Others are admitted to distant colleges.

One of the most common things that the people leaving their homes miss is the care and love from their immediate relatives. This is an element that majority of young adolescents ignore while at home because they are regularly exposed to it. Therefore, the moment it is short in supply, the individuals feels its importance. Being alone also means taking responsibility without standing up for help from anyone. Pay bills, buy food, furnish your house and search for employment.

The reality of leaving home dawns on majority of the people when their friends start fading away. Although they leave as a group or peers, after sometime, they separate and start seeking individual lives. This means that they have to start management themselves as individuals, take care of their health and plan their lives. It becomes most difficult of some of these skills were not acquired at home. Many of them miss the aspect of their homes because everything was prepared and provided ready.

In most memoirs, the people who leave their homes for negative reasons suffer most people they cannot reconcile themselves. They carry the burden of their bitterness and misunderstanding with them, which derails them from experiencing life in a different perspective. This is different from those who decide to be independent because of their age because they would always come home and seek advice from their parents.

It is not easy for both parents and children when parting time comes. However, it can be easy if there are positive reasons because there will be support from all corners. It implies that leaving should not be done by force or bitterness but through a gradual process.
