A good number of modding companies exist out there that release rapid fire mods for Modern Warfare 2 and World at War that don't work in Black Ops. We're aren't naming names because that just kosher, but Treyarch attempted to resolve what they thought up as their "modded controller" problem. They attempted a fix back in December that disabled a good number of Black Ops controller mods.
Then they realized the alterations they made in their code were changing different aspects of the game and glitching it far worse then what they had seen before. Since then they have rolled back some of those mod crutches. The better modding companies in the industry, like ourselves have found tricks to get past these game patches.
To answer a common question, yes, we do make mods that are fully compatible with Black Ops. In fact our controllers are compatible with a variety of games. Most gamer that order our mods don't even realize the good number of games that work with them. Rapid fire mod works in Crysis 2, Left 4 Dead 1 &2, as well as Grand Theft Auto IV. On top of the Call of Duty games and the Halo franchise.
The majority of the weapons found in Black Ops are compatible with the modded controller functions such as the common rapid fire and jitter mod. Weapons that benefit the most from our rapid fire are: FAL, pistols, M14, and the Python. Jitter mod controllers have their own list of weapons that work best for them and they are the: M16, G11, and the Spas-12. If you love to play Call of Duty games and find yourself digging Call of Duty: Black Ops, you are doing yourself a disservice by not getting a modded controller.
May 3rd has come and gone, which means that we have the 2nd map pack for Black Ops. This map pack comes with 5 additional maps for $15 dollars, 1200 Microsoft Points, for those of you that can't do the translation in your head. They haven't released a patch to stop our mods from working and you can expect us to keep working on hard on developing mods that survive patch after patch.
