Destinations to Visit for Seattle Arts

Visitors to Seattle can explore one of many arts centres in the city of Seattle. There are lots of opportunities for visitors to study the uniqueness and splendor of the fine arts in Seattle during vacationers stay. Many of the places feature stunning paintings, scultpures and captivating displays of performance art.

Seattle Art Museum

Artwork from locations including Europe, Africa and Asia are displayed throughout this Seattle arts complex. The museum also features many Native American artworks. Patrons can use computer screens, audio tours and wall texts to further learn about the art pieces in the museum. The museum offers free entry to all visitors on the first Thursday of the month. This famous museum can be discovered near Seattle's pretty waterfront.

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

This performance location serves as the home of the Seattle Opera and also showcases many different types of live art. Visitors can attend one of the shows in this hall to see a gig of beautiful classical music or wonderful ballet. In December, with assistance from many first-class dancers, the hall puts on a few performances of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. The venue even hosts performances of some of the top pop music acts. The hall is found inside the Seattle Center, which is also the site of the internationally famous Space Needle.

Seattle Asian Art Museum

Visitors who wish to see some of the most precious collectibles from Asia can visit this Seattle arts center. Many ancient statues and artifacts can be found within the museum. There are also many exhibits paying homage to the ancient religions of East Asia. Like the Seattle Art Museum, visitors to this establishment can gain admission for free each first Thursday of the month. The museum sits on top of historical Capitol Hill on the calm grounds of Volunteer Park.

Broadway Performance Hall

This smaller venue seats just under 300 spectators, making allowance for a rather more intimate experience with the performing arts. Visitors can come to this venue to see elaborate performances from flamenco acts, comedians and live dramatic performers. The hall also includes art films and spoken word performances. The locale is located along Broadway Avenue on Capitol Hill, a well-liked area for the more edgy crowd.

Photographic Center Northwest

This venue of fine arts in Seattle showcases many pieces of contemporary and historical photography works. Guests can see the exhibitions of national and global photographers. Visitors can even take part in one of the seminars or courses offered to learn more about the complexities of inventive photography. This museum is found in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood.
