General Information Regarding Eagles Tribute Bands

By Eula Clarke

Tribute groups play the music of well-known, popular bands. They tend to perform their music and mimic their style. Acts seek to emulate the bands, including their vocal style and appearance. The best of these are very similar to the original act. Others may choose to add a quirk or twist to the performance that is different from the original. Eagles tribute bands can be found all across the world.

The musicians in these bands typically name themselves after the act they are honoring. Sometimes a pun is involved. The group could also take their name from a popular song or album by the original act. Some musicians are commonly copied in this way, such as Elvis Presley or The Beatles. However, there are also a lot of these groups dedicated to the Eagles.

Eagles is the name for a well-known rock band that formed in California in the early half of the 1970s. The original members were Bernie Leadon, Glenn Frey, Don Henley and Randy Meisner. This music is sometimes called soft rock, country rock and even folk rock. The band has received numerous honors and developed a dedicated fan base located in many regions.

The band is largely recognized as a highly successful act during the 1970s. This was the decade that the band saw the most success. They performed from 1971 to 1980, and then picked back up in 1994.

Over time, they have released numerous albums on Capitol, Lost Highway, Asylum, Polydor and Geffen record labels. They are considered one of the best-selling groups to ever exist in the world, selling more than 150 million records. No American band has done what the Eagles did.

Because of their popularity, it is no surprise that musicians pay tribute to the act. These tribute acts perform in venues around the world, honoring the music and style of this band. For many, attending these types of shows is enjoyable and nostalgic. They might feel as though they will never have the opportunity to see the original band live, so a tribute group is the next best option. These acts usually have their performances down and provide a positive, spirited experience for Eagles fans.

Those who play this music have a lot of music to choose from. The Eagles put out its debut, self-titled album in 1972. Many releases would follow, including seven studio albums, 10 compilations, two live albums, two video albums and 29 singles. Most Eagles releases have taken top honors, reaching the tops of charts and earning the act special awards. They have also helped solidified the bands spot in music history.

As the name suggests, musicians who choose to play the music are offering tribute to the original act. They are typically fans of the band. They might do this as full-time work or just a hobby. Some have been able to make a decent living from their performances, especially because they have selected a popular act. Performing in a tribute group may be a great experience for musicians who are just getting started. It can help them sharpen their playing or singing skills, as well as their stage presence.
