Importance Of The Path To Salvation

By Karina Frost

Since time immemorial, sin has been said to cause suffering to humans. This suffering happens in the current life and also the life after death. However, there is a solution to this. Jesus is the solution to human suffering and is therefore the path to salvation. The Bible provides proof of Jesus importance in the lives of man.

The death of Jesus Christ on behalf of humans, makes him able to provide salvation to man. His death took care of the sins of the world. This is the core of the good news. It is obsolete if one does not believe in the sacrifice of the Son of God. No matter how hard people work to do good, their work cannot save them.

God is good and perfect. He has set up rules for us human beings to follow and that is where we fail. Sin comes about by disobedience of His commandments. We have the internal awareness of good and evil. However, our hearts are normally inclined towards evil. The roots of sin are said to lie in the character of a person.

There is need for salvation. The most talked about reason is so that we can get to heaven. Everyone dreams of heaven which seems to be an amazing place free from all the struggles life has to offer. Whoever does not accept or believe in Jesus may be condemned to hell. Most people out of fear will strive to avoid this.

It enables God and man to be in a relationship. This causes proper knowledge of God. There are benefits to this. God will be there with you when things in your life are tough-just like a companion. You can also have peace of mind. One can also have a better understanding of the Bible. The Holy Spirit is said to give understanding.

To receive salvation, you should first of all take note of your sinful character. After which you should repent. This involves humbling yourself and asking for forgiveness. You should believe in the act of love of Jesus-his death for you. Lastly you should pray for salvation. Most of the time, the prayer is given in a structured form.

The zeal for staying saved and in sync with God tends to fade away. For this reason, much should be done. There should be regular prayer and reading the Bible. This helps you understand more of what you are involved in. Finding a church to constantly go to is also an important move. Telling others about your faith can be of great help.

If you are not convinced about salvation, you should not make that move. Do only what you are sure of. To some people it is a non-regrettable move. Others do not pay attention to this kind of news. Obviously people have different perspectives on life. Get the necessary information as the decision is definitely personal and you do not need to be convinced on what to believe in.
