Tips for Giving the Best Children's Birthday Party Without the Worry

By Paul Linden

It's easier to hold the right birthday celebration for kids than you could have believed. This yearly challenge is a thing a large number of parents as well as family members count on and they all desire to be able to give a wonderful kid's birthday celebration that will be remembered fondly.

Color, fun, balloons, food, games and the right attitude will help you be able to host the best kid's party of the year. Here are some ideas that you can use when you want to have that very special children's birthday party for that very special child.

It does not have to involve a lot of money for you to create a perfectly wonderful party for young children. It seems that most of the parties that are big hits with small guests are those that have been prepared with small budgets in mind. Create kid-friendly fun and excitement with whimsy, special themes and lots of innovative ideas.

Think about the setting for this special birthday party. Some people will host the event at a popular restaurant or amusement park, but why not think a little outside the box. Kids love imaginary play so follow their lead and be creative.

Any backyard can be turned into a fantastic three ring circus if you just have a few yards of colorful cloth and a big imagination. Invite the children to your home for an 'over-the-top tea party with all of the extravagance and 'fabulousness' you can muster together. Have a big box of grown up clothing for the children to use to play 'dress-up' and transform your dining room into a perfect Victorian tea parlor for the day. You might want to use a park as the setting for this perfect birthday party and invite the kids to join in a nature walk or take them on as easy hike.

For any kid's birthday party games are often the main event. Outdoor activities allow the kids to run off that extra energy much more effectively than indoor games. Arrange games such as basketball with balloons, balloon relay races and other easy to play activities that give children of all skill levels a chance to get involved.

Hide the penny, Grapevine telephone or scavenger hunt are all games children will enjoy. Try to keep this day fun without relying on an arcade or video game for entertainment. If you want to keep kids occupied for most of the afternoon, send them on a planned search for 'just buried' treasure or plan a scavenger hunt.

You can even relax when it comes to serving refreshments if you make it fun for the guests to help with the food at your next kid's birthday party. A cupcake decorating table or a 'mini-pizzeria bar" can be the places for guests to choose and prepare their own party foods. Use bagels or individual pizza crusts and plain cupcakes as the main ingredients for this fun party activity.

The next step is to place a variety of toppings on the table and let each guest choose their own favorites. You can handle the baking of the pizzas, but when the kids finish decorating their cupcakes they can then eat it or carry it home. To add extra fun to the celebration you may want to have a contest and award a prize to the person with the most outrageous creation.

For a kid's birthday party to be truly perfect every guest should have fun. Kids will have more fun if the adults keep their presence limited and low key. Monitoring the ongoing activities can be accomplished without an adult trying to be the event's major focus. Just relax, take a couple of steps back, and then you can enjoy this stress-free children's birthday party as much as the guests.
