Effective Web Designing Strategies

By Michal Foster

Not all websites with visually interesting design can make it to the first page of search engines' result list. This tells that it takes more than an awesome website design for business owners to obtain real ranking results.

Web Designing With SEO Standards

What online entrepreneurs need to help Internet users access their website is to make use of an e-marketing strategy called Search Engine Optimisation. Incorporating SEO in the website design allows business owners to manipulate the traffic to their website. Thus, they need not wait long time for them to experience real ranking results once they submit their website to various search engines.

SEO, however, is not a separate web designing method. SEO bleeds into all sub-disciplines of web designing. Hence, SEO takes a major role during the process of creating a website design plan.

What Are The Two Major Functions Of SEO?

SEO has two other goals, aside from ensuring that your website is accessible. The first is to make it easier for online visitors find the exact information they are searching for when they arrive at your website; and second, to persuade them to keep on browsing longer and come back to your website.

Characteristics Of Web Content That SEO Spiders Favor

The following are the characteristics of web content that search engines highly favor:

*The web content consists naturally-occuring keywords.

*Content that online users find useful.

*The website's content is honest and factual.

*Content that loads quickly for it makes the spider's job easier through efficient indexing.

*The website contains links to trusted websites. Companies with association to reputable websites earn the trust of search engine spiders.

The website also needs to use clear and meaningful URLs with keywords in them. Furthermore, using domains that have been around for a year or more is better than buying new ones. True, cool website designs can wow online visitors. But they appreciate more the websites with useful and informative content. The more useful the information is to readers, the more likely they will link your website to their blogs, to user-generated websites, to networking sites and other discussion boards.
