Wonder if You Should Seed Landscaping during the Falltime or Springtime?

By Fred Hannley

Are you aware that growing your landscape in the falltime is an ideal time? If you just didn't realize, it really is okay since most people do not. A lot of people just wait around for early spring to come for the landscaping to begin. Its a rather prevalent misunderstanding.

The fact of the topic is that fall season is the very best time to lay the turf and do all of your landscaping. The drought of This year showed the value of fall landscape planting more than any year we have witnessed in a very long time.

Some have called it the year "Landscaping Apocalypse." There was a whole lot of plant death for a number of our landscaping clients. Even the heavily devoted landscaping fanatics ending up having a great deal of their landscape die.

One thing that everyone did observe is that all of the landscaping that was withering had been landscaping that had been planted in spring. Clients which had planted within the fall however had zero problems with keeping the landscaping alive. There is a rather simple answer why this is.

You will want strong root system for your plants and falltime planting will do just that. If you would like your landscaping to flourish and live, a deeply rooted root system is a necessity. The thing is, the deeper you go into the dirt, the more water you will find. Landscape with shallow roots will probably have difficulty staying alive during the burning summers.

Putting together their landscaping in the spring season does not mean your landscape will die though. Should we have a good year you'll likely be okay. Even so, this does offer undeniable evidence to the force of fall landscape planting.

Just imagine how well your falltime rooted landscape will perform if we do have an excellent year in 2013. With that said, if you take care of the landscaping right now prior to the winter months, you will have a great deal less needed maintenance and plant watering next summer and spring since the deep soil moisture will be performing the majority of the hard work for you.

It's simply incorrect that putting together your landscaping in the springtime is the ideal season to do your landscaping. If you want a healthy landscape at your property for the summer pre-winter landscape planting is definitely the path to take. And it's obviously a big plus to not be required to water the lawn and do landscape upkeep as much as you should with springtime planting. It's always a mutually beneficial scenario for everybody.
