Themes Covered In Kristopher Naeger Art

By Nita McKinney

This review of Kristopher Naeger art will help you to become better acquainted with his style. The artist has spent time in New Orleans as well as other areas in the United States. Like thousands of others, he left the city for what he thought was short period. However, Hurricane Katrina did what many thought was not likely, and wiped out much of the city. It also took his art supplies and other possessions with it.

In Cape Girardeau, he decided to host a show to raise funds for persons affected by the disaster. Thirty percent of what he earned went towards relief efforts via the Red Cross. Like other residents, he was unable to return to his home until he was given the go ahead by officials. Like many people who were living in the area at the time, he was displaced for a while. He used his artwork to help him move on after the disaster.

His artwork cannot by any means be described as subdued. Rather, he relies on beautiful bold colors to help create visually stimulating pictures. His ideas are portrayed in abstract form and invite thoughtful perusal from viewers. Over time, his paintings have attracted a following in Cape Girardeau that has remained loyal to him over time.

He is an award winning painter and has been focusing on his craft for more than a decade and a half. This talented individual is known for his contribution to a number of juried shows around the state. He has hosted solo exhibitions. Scott City, where he was hosted at the Schock Center and the well known Garden Gallery, are just two of the locations that he favors.

The artist prefers alternative spaces and always looks for unusual locations to have his shows. For example, in 2004 he held an exhibition at the H&H building at 400 Broadway in Missouri. Wherever he goes, his energetic work is always well received and he sells a number of unique paintings each year. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Southeast State University.

Kristopher Naeger art and the Caribbean have a lot in common. Artists from these beautiful islands usually prefer lots of beautiful colors, whether they work in ceramics or another genre. This is due to the fact that they have immense beauty all around them, in the fauna and flora. He frequently visits the area and is exposed to that as well.

The painter has also visited and exhibited in France and Costa Rica. He makes a habit of diversifying his paintings. He does abstractions of landscapes, mainly focusing on cities. He also enjoys examining the beauty and form of flowers. All of these pieces are complex and shown increasing variation over time.

If you cannot make it to one of those exhibitions, Kristopher Naeger art can be viewed online. You can see pictures of his collaborations with artists such as Ruben Dario Monsalve. Most of his paintings are done using acrylic on canvas, since for him, that medium seems to flow and respond better.
