The Crookedest Christmas Tree

By Cody Anthony

There's something obscene about spending so much money at Christmastime. It's not like we're the Three Wise Men hiking across the desert to gift the baby Jesus. I don't even know what frankincense is, let alone myrrh. My kids think it was the original Airwick. But I digress. Let's get down to the most important symbol of all: the Christmas tree itself. One long-ago year, my Dad was out of work, much as fathers are today, but he was determined we'd have a tree just the same. All four of us, Dad, Mom, my sister and I, went to McNally's lot, the place where a local man sold pumpkins at Halloween and Christmas trees for a month before the holiday.

Hit up Red Robin and before you enjoy it, open it up. What goes where, write it down, take a picture with your cell phone, whatever you need to do so you will remember and have a reference point when you make it yourself. Most of the time, it is fairly obvious, but if you want it to be just right, it is worth this step.

As an alternative to the aerosol sprayer, this brand also offers the AquaMist sprayer. This is a propellant-free trigger spray system that gives the performance of an aerosol with a clean, fresh mist for use everywhere in your home or office. With the propellant-free trigger, Aqua Mist is able to provide a more natural delivery of the fragrance. The fragrances for the AquaMist sprayer are inspired by water-based botanical and smell clean and nature fresh. The propellant-free trigger bottle is also recyclable, so this product is clean, fresh, and healthy for the environment. Available fragrances for the AquaMist sprayer include Calming Magnolia, Cherry Blossom, Cool Linen, White Lilac, Fresh Waters, and Crackling Fire.

The newest addition to the Red Robin wait staff, Paula Roche (also known as Mystique and Sable), who spent the past five years dancing at various upscale gentlemen's clubs, is finding that old habits die hard. "We absolutely love having Paula around," said Red Robin manager, Ted Sunds, who appeared to be having problems adjusting his wedding band. "It is truly a joy to welcome her as the newest addition to our Red Robin family.

However, it is known for a fact that cherry tomatoes, as we know them today, have only been cultivated since the early 1970s. Two Israeli scientists, Haim Rabinovich and Nachum Kedar, wanted to stop tomatoes in general from ripening so quickly in hot climatic conditions. Having identified tomato genes that would do this, they also discovered a way to produce small cherry tomatoes.

As always, I must stress the importance of Water. Robins are never happier than when splashing, bathing and drinking in a birdbath. What a treat to watch! This is an absolute must year round so be sure to have a heated birdbath. The nest is usually placed in the crotch of a tree or shrub. It is made of grasses, a middle layer of mud, and then lined with fine grasses. After breeding season, robins flock together and go to large communal roosts at night. This habit continues from fall through winter.
