A Deeper Look At Abstract Watercolor Painting

By Eliza Mendoza

Abstract watercolor painting is whereby abstract art and watercolor are paired. In art, abstraction is usually not designed to represent the external realities of the world but it however strives to create a visual language of its own by using colors, textures, shapes and forms. Generally, it can be described as a form of painting that designs images which are transparent and luminous due to the fact that the pigments used contain very little fillers which obscure their colors.

Basically, artists who are concerned particularly with this kind of art have an attitude that does not conform in terms of art. The main challenge they pose is giving form to personal interpretations of figures which do not have a particular form. This results to one having to think hard about the situation and what it would really mean for him or her.

Performing this activity requires that you have certain materials. The materials are inexpensive and can be obtained easily. They include a special paint, paintbrush, pencils and papers that are compatible with the paints. You will also require plenty of time because it is necessary that you give deep thought to the art you are painting so that it comes out best.

Generally, anything is acceptable with this type of art. This applies for all types of arts as well but it is always advisable that you get as much information as you can about the art rather than just performing it. Shape, form, color and texture are among the visual elements of this activity. With abstraction comes removal of reality from the images found on the piece of art. The removal may be slight, partial or complete depending on what the artist wants.

A lot may be done concerning artwork using this technique of abstraction. Naturally, it is regarded as vague and it is the viewer who interprets the whole image for himself and decides what to think of it. People often find this fun and this is the reason artists involved in this practice love their job so much. You can visit any art store and get sketchbook papers and pencils and try it yourself to see how good your creativity could be.

Anything you sketch on the paper appears on the paper like a normal drawing. The moment your paintbrush comes into contact with the paper, the paint penetrates and causes an illusion. The aim of the artist is to now make that illusion to look three dimensional. This effect is what every artist tries to achieve so as to please those viewing his art work.

Once that is done, the image then appears more real than it was. However this skill requires that one practices a lot so as to also improve and sharpen the skills more. One could also attend classes and this could be done through the internet or visiting art stores where you can have one on one lessons with an experts. You could also buy recorded DVDs which contain the necessary information required to improve your skills in drawing.

If you are under stress, you can release it thanks to abstract watercolor painting. Feelings which remain in the mind and are not let out are a major cause of stress. People with such problems are advised to draw or paint their feelings as this acts as a means of letting them out.
