Toronto is an awesome place for musicals, shows, plays, and theatre Toronto. People travel to Toronto from everywhere to see the best entertainment and events. One of the things that have made it so popular amongst tourist is the cost of their Broadway-style productions. They are cheaper than some other places like Chicago and New York and they are near the best dining, shopping, and hotels. Below, is an explanation of some venues.

The North York Performing Arts Centre consists of two theatres. One of them can seat about 1700 and the other is able to seat around 1000 people. The biggest dramas, operas, musicals, and dances are achieved here. It is nicely located above central downtown and is close to the Sheppard subway stops.

The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts consists of two well-designed theatres. Classical music performances, Opera performances, improv, and comedy are loved by its spectators. It is in the St. Lawrence area, which is the oldest neighborhood in the city. This place as well as the area is worth a visit.

The Soulpepper was created by a few artists in 1997. Since it was founded, some of the world's most dazzling performances have been performed on its stages. It mostly hosts classical productions and presents them in Canadian interpretations. It also mentors and trains young artists.

The Sony Centre is also called the Hummingbird Stage and it was originally constructed for a variety of events. However, it has mostly lent itself to musicals like opera and ballet. The greatest in the industry have performed on this stage and it is still very popular.

The Roy Thomson Hall seats 2800 people and is home to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir. It was opened in 1982 and is located in the King St. District. Its unique curvilinear design has made it a landmark in the city. It mostly lends itself to musical performances.

Theatre Toronto is home to the greatest places for all to enjoy awesome plays, shows, and musicals. The city has been one of the most visited places for great entertainment for a long time. The North York Performing Arts Centre is great for music, dramas, and many other spectacular performances. Other deserving places are the Roy Thomson Hall, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Soulpepper, and the Sony Centre. Everyone of these places will satisfy all of your entertainment needs and desires. They are also located near the best restaurants, shopping, and hotels. Their blend of art, history, and culture is the greatest around.
