Getting A Tattoo - 3 Easy Rules To Follow Before Your Next Tattoo

By Matt Fenison

If you think that getting a tattoo has to be a bad experience, it doesn't have to. In fact, if you follow a few simple tips, it can be very fun and easy.

Many people love getting tattoos and have a good time getting them, but for some, the experience is not much fun at all.

If you are new to tattoos, or have had an unpleasant experience with getting a tattoo done before, there are some simple things you can do that can make a huge difference as you are getting a tattoo on your body.

Make sure you are feeling well before getting a tattoo done.

A seasoned tattoo recipient knows how much pain will be involved, and is likely used to it. So if he or she doesn't feel all that well, they may go ahead and keep their appointment even if they are feeling a bit under the weather.

If you are not one of these people, make sure you feel OK!

If you are even slightly sick, you probably will be having a bad day to begin with. Add the discomfort of the needles burning your skin, and you are setting yourself up to have a tattoo experience that is not so great.

Your artist doesn't want your sickness anyway, so they should have no problem with you rescheduling your appointment for a later date.

Get something in your stomach!

There is nothing worse than getting a tattoo and realizing that on top of your skin burning, your stomach is burning too. If you are prone to fainting or getting nauseous, this means that you need to have something in your stomach before you go for your appointment.

You don't have to have a 7-course meal, just get something in your stomach that won't upset it.

Don't be in a bad mood.

This one is easy, because you should be in a good mood on tattoo day to begin with. Leaving your problems and worries at home will benefit you as you get your work done.

If you can't help your bad mood, that's fine, but you will be thinking of your horrible boss or wife while sitting in an uncomfortable position for hours, and that's not any fun.

Go into your appointment in a positive mood, and your appointment will be a positive experience, not only for you, but for your artist as well!

Just by following these 3 simple tips before and during your appointment, your tattoo experience will be a much more fun one.
