Pirate Birthday Supplies - How To Have The Best Pirate Party

By Walt Hoover

Some of the questions that might pop into your head when thinking about doing a "pirate" party for your child, is "What was I thinking? Where am I going to find all this stuff? What do I need?" Although you might have an idea of what to get, you might not know what is out there to help your party be something better than what you were originally thinking. There are the original supplies such as streamers and balloons, cake setters and party plates, napkins, tablecloth and cups. But there are a whole lot more that can be added to the party. Here are a few ideas that you might want to grasp while you can:

Bandannas and Costume Apparel: One thing that will add so much to your party is having the kids dress up as pirates so they can really use their imaginations. All you need is a bandanna, an eye patch, and a sword. This will make all the games so much more fun because the kids will be able to act like pirates.

Pirate Party Favors: Party favors are a must for any kids birthday party. It is a simple way to tell your guests thank you for attending the party. You can find everything you need at a party store. They have little affordable toys and candy that you can fill it with.

Pirate Pinatas: A very affordable activity is a pinata. All kids love pinatas and it is a great way they can get some of their energy out. You can also feel it with buried treasure to help the kids get even more into character.

Treasure Chest and Treasure: Another decoration would be to have a treasure chest. You could play a game of treasure hunt and have the treasure chest the prize. Fill it with the party favors for each kid that you have prepared for the "treasure". They will love the game as well as the end result. It also participates completely in the theme you have decided upon.

Pirate Flag: Every pirate party must have a pirate flag. The flag will add so much with your decorations. You can hang it from a wall or simply use it as a tablecloth.
