Watch Out For The Common Video Guitar Lessons Blunders

By Shari Swanson

Most people are engrossed with the things that they have to remember as they learn how to play percussion instruments. To this end, they do not mind about the things that they must avoid. Focusing on the key points of video guitar lessons may be a good idea. Still, you must not let your guard down. It is imperative that you also avoid the common mistakes that most people commit if you want to learn fast.

Giving up too soon. At some point, you might have a hard time grasping what is being taught. Since the videos cannot interact and clarify a few points for you, you might feel frustrated. However, if you want to learn so badly, this must not be enough to stop you. Carry on until you succeed.

Some may also try to watch the videos, but later on wander their minds in faraway places. As a rule, stay focused on what you are doing. Learning to play musical instruments may be easy if you have your heart on it. On the other hand, divided attention will not get you anywhere.

Making excuses. Anyone may have gone through this stage. There are just so many reasons why learning to pluck guitars is difficult. Perhaps your fingers are not used to plucking or you cannot find the wrong timing. Yet, these excuses are no good at all. Learning might be difficult, but it is certainly possible.

The fingers must also be exercised all the time. This is the difference between a professional guitarist from a frustrated wannabe. Unfortunately, some students avoid the finger gym. This is one of the blunders that they commit without knowing that it is actually wrong.

Limiting your practice. There are some people who undermine their own capacity. They learn one chord at a time. This is fine so as to avoid confusion. Nevertheless, it is advisable that you keep on improving. As soon as you get the feel of one chord, then proceed right to the next chord. Keep the new learning coming in.

Finally, some heavily rely the video guitar lessons on their sense of sight. They completely forget that it is the ear that hears. Listen closely to the sound the instrument makes. Assess if it sounded right or not. This way, you can easily identify potential problems and resolve it immediately.
