Fine Art Photography In Interior Design

By Cindy Hess

These days, photography is considered as a fine art, as a matter of fact it is slowly making its way into the business of interior design. If you are a keen observer, you must have seen that in most modern homes nowadays, photos replaced the customary paintings on the walls. The truth is, a modern interior designer would use pictures rather than the old school paintings. But still, client preferences are considered needless to say.

The use of photography is pretty prevalent in Malaysia interior design. As most of Malaysian living spaces and condos are fairly small and spaces are scarce, photos can actually add that air of design for residence and condo interior design. In Interior Design Malaysia, pictures can actually even add depth and the illusion of added space.

Picture a bare and empty white wall. It is just plain nothingness. Imagine if the interior designer would include a huge portrait of a white marble hallway? Can you envision the difference? Pictures with contrasting colours can break dull lines. For example, adding artful pictures of a toy store in a kid's room or if you want to make the an illusion of a higher ceiling for your bedroom request a photograph of a spiral stairs taken from the bottom up.

One additional advantage is that pictures can be customised. Others might argue paintings can be personalised too, but pictures can be made to order at a fraction of the price. If you need more ideas on how photos can actually improve the interior of your residence, you can search online or hire an interior designer.

Photography isn't only used as a home ornament in interior design. It's also the main media used to advertise the work of interior designers. Without photography, every tiny detail of a designer's work won't be captured and in interior design, everything is in the details. It's safe to say that without photography, the achievement of interior designers would be hard hunted.
