Why Jarred Into Being Is A Good Read

By Madeline Finch

Pat Lawrence authored Jarred Into Being. However, one thing you might not notice at first is that actually, Pat and her husband Daniel, who together make up the pseudonym Pat Lawrence, have authored this book. The main character in the book is Eva Lange. At first, the life of this little girl was pleasant. Everything was okay until she turned 13. Her parents considered her a miracle after being childless for four years.

Her parents were considered well off and she lacked nothing. This was so until when she turned 13 when things changed. Her parents had a fatal car accident and both died. Eva was left with only a small trust after the sale of all what belonged to her parents. The twist of events is seen when the only living relative was her aunt, a twenty three year old that has been branded as unreliable and wild by her mother.

The incident left Eva no option but to go stay with her aunt. This would mean the start of a fresh chapter in life. Here, her life was nothing like a fairy tale. Her life at this point began spiraling downwards. Before, she was an A-grade student. However, this started to change and her exemplary performance was no more.

She became more of a shirker and was later expelled from her school after involvement in all manner of fights. On the other hand, her aunt became jobless. She turned to supporting herself with what was left of the trust money belonging to Eva. In a short while, she announced that she had become pregnant and the father of the child was reserved to taking care of it.

After the child was born, Eva had the burden of playing mom to it. The horrific incidents and drama continued. Later on, her aunt would run off leaving Eva to take care of the mess. She would have to fend for the child on her own, even though she was not the real mother. She had to keep on with her determination and will to reconstruct her life.

Eva is no stranger to people close to her capitalizing on her naivety. At one point in her life, she meets Rafael and they fall in love. Their relationship does not last long and are soon after separated. She also meets Albert Sr., who plays a fatherly role. He attempts to fulfill her desire for a father figure. The book has a cryptic constellation of characters, many of whom keep on pulling Eva back to the abyss.

The story comes with many twists and turns. Your interest in the book will remain at its peak until the end. In addition, if you are a parent, the book is not meant for every person. This is because of the many sex scenes and abuses. The best thing is that it is an easy read.

For many readers, you will find Jarred Into Being an engaging and hard book to stop reading. It is engaging and you will keep on wanting more of it. As you read through, you will be sad not being able to assist the little girl with her burden. This book is not meant for the faint hearted as well.
