Everybody loves going on vacation. You leave work knowing that you won't be back for a while, and that in a few hours you'll be hanging out on some beach somewhere. Some vacations are fairly long, up to two weeks, while others are pretty short. In this article, you'll learn about some great places to go on vacation that you can do in a weekend. These are perfect if you don't any vacation days saved up at work.

If you live anywhere near the Southwest, you can hop on over to San Diego. The airport takes flights from almost anywhere, and you can have a great time in this nice city. They've spent millions of dollars over the years to really spruce up the city to attract tourists just like yourself.

One of the main reasons is that San Diego has some amazing beaches that are perfect for tourists almost year round. Another reason is the San Diego Zoo, and Sea World. Both parks are the main destinations of tourists from around the world.

If you like foreign lands, then you could try hopping over to Mexico for the weekend. The flights are short and cheap, as are the hotels. You can eat some tacos, listen to some authentic Mexican music and relax on the beach.

One popular place that has been getting some attention lately is San Francisco. If you like seafood, then you must check out Fisherman's Wharf. And if you are interested in famous architecture, you'll love the Golden Gate Bridge. And of course, there's always the world famous Alcatraz.

And what list of weekend getaway destinations wouldn't be complete without Las Vegas? This is the place to go if you are at all interested in fun and excitement. Vegas offers something for everybody, and you are sure to find what you are looking for. From world class hotels to luxurious restaurants, you'll have a blast in the town that never sleeps.

When you go on a small weekend trip, something magical happens. Your stress quickly melts away, and you get a whole new outlook on life. When you get back to work, you'll be more motivated and productive than ever.
