Lightweight Running Shoes for Fashion

By Dame Anderson

The rewards of sporting lightweight running shoes are assorted and varied. First and foremost when running a race of any length a weight alteration of only a few ounces can make you run significantly faster. For training runs a lighter shoe is obviously going to make things quite easier. Without a doubt, there are downsides to putting on super lightweight shoes that I'll discuss, but for the most part lightweight running shoes are the best!

In racing, any simple advantage you can get over your competitors will be a aid. Regardless of whether it's a track meet, an off-road race, or a marathon, the weight of your shoes will play a big part in how fast you can finish. A lightweight shoe will keep your legs fresh and will make the run seem easier by making your feet feel light as a feather. Switching to a lightweight running shoe is a great way to slice a few seconds off your best race times.

During your weekly, non-race, exercises, a lightweight shoe can also be helpful. Think of your hardest workout of the week. It's almost certainly a speed workout of some kind, maybe a fartlik? Yeah, now picture that exercise with lighter shoes. You'll be running lighter and speedier than you can imagine with a fresh pair of lightweight running shoes.

Most of the really lightweight running shoes don't have much support. So, if your feet tend to over or under pronate, you'll want to make sure you're still putting on a shoe that will allocate some amounts of support. The last thing you want to have happen is getting hurt due to the fact that you put on the wrong shoe.

What do I suggest? Get a perfect pair of racing shoes specific to the kind of races you run. You'll most likely desire spikes of some kind for a track meet, while a wide range of shoes are acquirable for longer road races. For your long distance training runs, you'll want to make sure you've paid for a good combination of great support without adding a lot of bulk. Your speed workouts?. You may need to buy some super-lightweight training shoes just for that purpose, or you could just wear your everyday trainers. It's all up to you.
